Own a piece of playing card history today. 270 AD: the Price of Loyalty Aurelian's first bold move into power was to take control over the imperial mint. Forging gold coins to donate to his troops, guaranteeing their loyalty. We've captured that narrative with a strong border topped with his signature coin, drawing inwards to a medallion-inspired centre piece that looks hypnotic in your hands. 271 AD: Rags to Riches Emperor Aurelian, born to humble beginnings, understood the people's wants. Upon rising to power he cancelled the people's private debts to the treasury. Each courtier card has been draped in gold and fully re-worked to stand proudly with the powerful design. The faces have also been completely re-sculpted to create a timeless pip arrangement, whilst still remaining recognizable for magic. 272 AD: Paid in Blood Exquisite detail meets historical significance. Aurelian's custom ace is a symbol for the "Soldier-Emperor". His reign, though short, was marked by bloody and glorious conquest. Gold ink swords, whips and throwing spears drape themselves over the stunning spade. It's the most important card in a deck and it's the only one with golden pips. 273 AD: Power and Glory Aurelian was a celebrated military leader, enjoying amongst his titles the moniker "Restitutor Orbis; Restorer of the World, claiming back much of the previously lost Roman Empire. The Jokers are a homage to the Tally-Ho cowboys we've all come to love. These soldiers stand resolute ready to defend an empire...Or to overthrow one.

The expansion deck contains both light and dark versions of the Major Arcana tarot cards. This deck is for those who desired a complete tarot set when combined with the light and dark main cards from the respective decks.

Funded as a Kickstarter project on February 22, 2014 with $69,452 NZD (just over $50k USD) pledged from 1,109 backers, this was a set of two decks consisting of the First Edition (standard blue tuck unlimited deck) and Grail (white tuck limited edition of 2,500 decks), plus 20 very limited commemorative sets in wooden boxes and an uncut version. Both tucks were embossed and hot stamped with gold foil with a custom seal and featured the intricately designed card back image on the back of the tuck.

A number of additional add-ons including shirts, prints, collector box, coin, poster, etc were also available.

Designed by Rick Davidson of New Zealand, this deck featured a re-interpretation of the original 15th century face cards from Rouen, France that was the basis for the current standard courts now used on so many common playing card decks. Rick carefully studied many historic cards and prints from this time period (http://originscards.com/archive/) to create his new interpretations, but also occasionally brought in modern day inspirations for facial features, including Charlize Theron for the Queen of Clubs.

The cards were printed on casino quality Bee stock with a magic finish from USPCC with special Q1 quality production. In addition, magician Lee Asher, helped design the gaff card included with the deck that featured the King of Spades and Queen of Hearts. Everyone has an immortal spirit, who lives forever. The Prince of Owl has an heroic spirit. Everyone will remember his valor forever. Brave and cruel beyond limits. He's my hero, as well. The Owl King is proud, but scared. His son is risking his life. If he doesn't survive, the depths will take his soul. The Prince of Labyrinth had a short life. But his ambition will be immortal. Not wise, but brave. The King of Labyrinth is a true genius. Everything and everyone is connected to him. Yes, Traveller, he's the one. The Taurus Prince's death caused the war between Taurus and Owl. He was valiant, but another hero clouded his reputation. Taurus King will be furious for eternity. He was the most powerful man, but he couldn't do anything against a Genius and an Hero. His spouse will be forever ashamed. The God of War was watching from a distance. He wanted more violence, but his sister was keeping him busy. Love, or Wisdom? The God of Lightning is the God of Gods. Powerful, crazy and without limits. Many are his sons. The Goddess of Faith was betrayed a lot of times. But she always had vengance. Poison and snakes are her favourite weapon. The Problem was solved. Imprisoned by a genius, betrayed by his sister, killed by an hero. Now his human soul is finally free. The Solution is happy, now. She forgot everything, she stands by the God of Wine. She will be remembered as a Goddess as well.

The Taurus Royal family lost three sons. Two murdered, one kidnapped. They are preparing for vengance, but it's worthless. She betrayed her brother. Her lover betrayed her. And he has a huge Problem he can’t solve. The Taurus Queen is in love. But she can’t have what she want. The King of the Labyrinth has an idea. The Problem is a Monster who needs blood. Is not his fault. He born that way. Half man, half beast - A huge curse for everyone. The Princess with the Red Thread is the Solution. She’s in love with the man who’ll kill her brother. From James Coffee Co. . . . "James Coffee Co. is small batch coffee roaster specializing in producing handcrafted artisan roasted coffee beans. Located inside a large mixed-use warehouse that features communal tables offering games while you enjoy a cup of coffee. As frequent visitors of James Coffee it was only a matter of time before the idea of creating a custom deck came up. Nearly two years later that idea is finally a physical product. We're not sure what took us so long however one thing is for certain, the end result is pure gold. Printed in collaboration with the U.S. Playing Card Co. to our trademark specifications, the design was inspired by vintage casino-style playing cards and features two owl jokers along with a "brewing guide" card. The handsome tuck box was printed by Clove St. Press on a vintage Heidelberg by a highly skilled artisan."

A time before the United States existed, a time when we were subjects of a King across an ocean. The Sons of Liberty operated in the shadows, leaving secret signals, passing hidden messages, and meeting in the dead of night. However, people soon rallied with them, and their cause to resist British oppression quickly spread throughout the colonies.

These playing cards embody the spirit of freedom that the Sons of Liberty fought for, featuring Freemason symbols, the Liberty Tree, and many other secret images. A few of the many heroes of the War are represented on the court cards, giving you a chance to become acquainted with some of the brave men and women who risked their lives for our freedom.
