ABOUT THIS DECK

Memento Mori from Art of Play featuring completely custom and unique suits with red faces. In this stunning deck designed by Michael Mateyko of KOMBOH CREATIVE, traditional suits have been reimagined to create stars, swords, flies, and feathers: symbols of order, aspiration, chaos, and scavenging respectively. The imagery adorning both the cards and ominous embossed tuck call attention to medieval existentialism, the occult, and divine mathematics; and believe us when we say, when we first saw them we were speechless. Printed by The United States Playing Card Company and packaged inside a custom tuck box featuring foil accents and a unique die-cut window with clear-plastic covering. Limited edition of only 2,500 decks.

You can tell that the Memento Mori deck is a cool and unusual set of playing cards the moment you first set your eyes on the box ... and it sets its eyes on you! Not to be confused with the Memento Mori deck by Chris Ramsay, Art of Play's Memento Mori deck was designed by Michael Mateyko of KOMBOH CREATIVE. Instead of using traditional suits, there are stars, swords, flies, and feathers, each representing order, aspiration, chaos, and scavenging. The cards are a very bold and vibrant red, and feature imagery that is unusual and strong. This is a powerful deck that leaves a strong impression the moment you see just one of the cards, never mind the entire deck! - BoardGameGeek reviewer EndersGame
