Vigor Playing Cards is a collaboration between cardist Alvin Herp and designer/magician Edo Huang. The deck has been crafted with cardists in mind and features custom tuck box, borderless back designs, custom aces, courts and jokers. Printed Classic Stock with Royal Finish, Vigor Playing Cards will still handle beautifully after time. “Vigor Playing Cards is just my first take on designing a custom deck, like a chance to show people what my own deck of cards would look like. The deck is named Vigor because I think when doing whatever we do in life we all need a bit of enthusiasm, and we have put a lot of it in this deck and we cannot wait to see people shuffle with vigor as well.

Wong (Huang Hongfa),8th December 2009. This poem was written more than a thousand years ago by the "Immortal Poet" 李白（Li Bai）. A lot of times when I see those the twinkling stars in a clear night sky, I will wonder whether "the beings up high" truly exist. "What would they look like? What characteristics would they have? Hmm, let me forge all my imaginations into playing cards."

Citizens are the most intricate, breathtaking playing cards we’ve ever produced. Illustrated in America by Kevin Cantrell, every aspect was handcrafted with relentless, unrivaled attention to detail. 

For the first time, we combined gold foil, hot stamping, and bronze foil to create a box design that’s eye catching, elegant, and sophisticated.

Even the inside of the box has a breathtaking, intricate guilloche pattern. The Joker and back design bear the Latin phrase “Audentes Fortuna Iuvat.” Fortune favors the brave. The Ace of Spades features an iconic Citizen “C” emblem.

This deck came in both a white pip version and a red pip version. The red pip version was manufactured with both the Air Cushion and the UV-500 (aka UV500) Airflow finish. This P52 entry is for the Air Cushion version.

Killer Bees are the mutant hybrid of timid European honey bees and their African cousins.  Like all superhero stories, the Killers were introduced to Brazil by mad scientists to help re-populate their diminishing Bee population.  But no-one could contain them... In 1957, 26 swarms escaped quarantine and declared war on the western hemisphere.  Danger lurking in the skies, these villains will stalk their victims for up to 1/2 a mile..  We wanted to capture the darker bodies of these cold-face killers in our deck. Creating a harsh black back with toxic-waste yellow honeycomb spilt on the back.  The black faces display custom pips and hold a sinister simplicity. Like something you'd expect to see on a discarded barrel of methylamine.  Killer Bees are the result of an unsanctioned lab experiment when toxic-waste spilled into a delicate hive of Honey Bees.
