Funded as a Kickstarter project on July 22, 2014 with $53,355 pledged from 756 backers, this was ultimately a set of 6 decks, some with custom cards and some tuck swaps, plus uncut sheets and varied non-deck add ons. Using the 1920s-30s mobster era as inspiration, this USPCC deck series consists of the Gold and Silver decks, later followed by limited edition Cotton Club and Stork Club decks (1,500 each) which were tuck swaps and finally the limited editions of Empire and Kingpin (1,250 each) which were fully different decks (face cards, backs and tuck). While the decks were designed, submitted and copyright 2014 they were not printed or delivered until early 2015. This PCDB Entry is for the 1,250 limited edition Bicycle branded Empire deck. They featured not only a different tuck, but custom courts, design and back as well. Continuing from the Gothic inspired artwork of Italy comes Tenebre, Acqua & Verde Edition. Both decks will follow Rosso's lead and be printed by The Legends Playing Card Company. With less than 1,000 decks, of each edition, being available on kickstarter, Tenebre will continue to be a highly sought after deck.

"We are excited to print TENEBRE v.2, the sequel to the extremely popular TENEBRE ROSSO. We are printing on the same Diamond Finish card stock, which is extremely long lasting, stiff, and springy. Closely resembling the legendary Jerry's Nugget decks, our Diamond Finish lasts five times longer than standard brands, and our specialty cutting process yields ultra smooth edges that faro perfectly right out of the box. As with TENEBRE ROSSO, the combination of full bleed artwork yields gorgeous fans, with our paper stock resisting chipping, so you don't get those white spotted edges after handling your cards

With striking metallic blue and silver foil, this new edition is our best yet. We've improved our print production and embossing process, and the results speak for themselves: more detailed embossing and crisp design.

Available as a direct pre-order and then via direct sale from Thirdway Industries, this deck also won the 2014 Discourse Design Deck Contest. Designed by Giovanni Meroni through his Thirdway Industries, this deck features a fun evil cartoonish theme with unique characters on every card. The suits have sub-themes: Clubs are Nature, Hearts are Passion, Diamonds are Violence and Spades are Magic. The deck was originally part of the failed Card Launcher, an alternate crowd funding website specific to playing cards, and a corresponding alternate 'Good Deck' was also developed at that time, but was not made for sale at the same time after that initial attempted project which was dropped when the platform failed.  The deck was printed by Expert Playing Card Co. using their Master Finish.  The tuck box is matte finish with supergloss finish on white accents, embossed and inner printed with a custom seal.  It was available in standard deck and uncut formats.
