Eames Playing Cards. Designed by Art of Play in close collaboration with The Eames Office. A tribute to the timeless sensibilities of Charles & Ray Eames. Our first edition of Eames Playing Cards showcases the Eames Office Starburst Logo on the backs. This iconic emblem was a recurring motif in the work of both Charles and Ray. Here it signifies their boundless creative energy—an explosion of light reaching for the outer limits of design's true purpose. The unique numbering system on the faces of the cards enables acts of cardistry to function as subtle homages to the Eameses' classic film “Powers of Ten." The court cards honor the natural majesty they found in elemental geometric shapes. Mathematics, form, and the critical role of constraints in design are threads woven throughout the Eameses' life and work. Eames Playing Cards come in a letterpress-printed tuck case printed on sustainable paper using vegetable-based dyes. The design of the box references the famous home built by Charles and Ray, a creative base where they lived for many years. Made in the USA.

Inspired by the architecture of the Eiffel Tower, the Parisian Deck is fully-marked for suit and value. The intricately detailed design is timeless in form and function. It is printed by Expert Playing Cards, with their NEW China Printer.

The Parisian Tuck Box features a textured matte paper stock, a rich Copper FOIL, and a PANTONE Blue accent color. The design includes architectural elements featured in the Eiffel Tower’s structure. The letters “ML19” on the front commemorate the Magic Live 2019 release of the Parisian Deck.

The Cards are printed with Expert’s Classic Finish. The Back Card has an intricate design, bold and rich colors, and contains subtle depth to it. The Marking System is very subtle to casual observers, but easy to read by those who know it’s markings. The Face Cards feature METALLIC Gold and a METALLIC Light Blue inks. The Ace of Spade is elegant and classical. The non-matching Jokers (Gold / Gold and Gold / Light Blue) feature the Eiffel Tower, or “La Dame de Fer”, as it looked upon it’s completion for the 1889 World’s Fair.

Fifty four pictures of odd things in Britain, as well as an additional card with explanations on both sides. The photos are from all eras from the 1800s to present, and there are a few vintage advertising posters as well. Some are in full colour, some are in black and white. The backs show a photo of a bobby stopping a London bus allowing a young boy to cross the street towing a toy London bus on a string. They are one way. The jokers are different.

FULTONAL. The first photographic exhibition presented in a deck of playing cards. Each playing card is completely unique, featuring iconic photography by Brad Fulton. Beautifully printed by the US Playing Card Company and housed in a letterpressed tuck case produced in San Diego by Clove St. Press. This photographic celebration spans two decades of Mr. Fultons illustrious career in the photographic arts. From the beginnings of Cardistry with longtime collaborators Dan & Dave Buck--to countless celebrity portraits created while working in Hollywood. Two distinct editions exist. A "hand inspected" version individually signed and numbered by Brad Fulton. The tuck is printed in "Fulton Process Black", a unique letter pressing of black ink that subtly mimics the grain-rich texture of all Fulton Photography. The "Fultonal Orange" Tuck on the Standard Edition is beautifully printed to mimic vintage darkroom chemical packaging--the very agents used by Fulton to create the images found within this deck.
