You can either decide to take the design at its cover (and don’t get us wrong, it is beautiful), or you can allow yourself to be drawn closer, and spend some time discovering the plethora of hidden details lurking in the corners of the illustrations. In fact, there are different forms of the devil’s outline scattered around the faces of the decks, and it requires some close inspection to reveal them. You can say that the Devil is in the details, but the closer you look, the less you see…

Rose gold beside black foil blazes with rich, fiery tones, as multi-level sculpted embossing offers intricate textures. The thin crush cards printed on premium stock handle brilliantly and provide subtle artistic features.

Mario Hanafuda (Red)

The Mario Hanafuda deck is a deck of Japanese playing cards known as hanafuda. It was introduced during the 30th Anniversary of Super Mario Bros. The illustrations on the cards, including the ones on the inner box, are derived from the currently produced "President" set. Red- and black-decked versions of Mario Hanafuda were later made available on the My Nintendo Store in Europe on June 16, 2020, along with postcards based on them.

This is a Japanese classic card game that is played with mini-sized cards that has been around for many years. Now its been re-made with Japanese characters on it. It was only sold at the Pokemon Centers in Japan for a very limited time and in very limited quantity, in November, 2013 (sold out in less than 15 minutes).

Timeless Americana is laced throughout the design, with iconography of colonial America and patriotic symbols of peace, prosperity, and potential. Unions are Made in America, using FSC-certified paper, vegetable-based inks, and starch-based laminates.

Unions were designed by Jay Fletcher in Charleston, South Carolina - one of the oldest and most historic cities in America.

Over a year in development, every aspect of the design was created from scratch - from the breathtaking court cards to the back design and Ace of Spades.

Theory 11 // 2016

Citizens are the most intricate, breathtaking playing cards we’ve ever produced. Illustrated in America by Kevin Cantrell, every aspect was handcrafted with relentless, unrivaled attention to detail. 

For the first time, we combined gold foil, hot stamping, and bronze foil to create a box design that’s eye catching, elegant, and sophisticated.

Even the inside of the box has a breathtaking, intricate guilloche pattern. The Joker and back design bear the Latin phrase “Audentes Fortuna Iuvat.” Fortune favors the brave. The Ace of Spades features an iconic Citizen “C” emblem.
