At the end of each quarter, all Forest deck profits will be sent to onetreeplanted.org. (501(c)3 tax-exempt organization) Our goal is to plant 25,000 trees with this first edition. Ice core data from Greenland and Antarctica show a steady natural increase and decrease of CO2 ppm levels throughout the last 800,000 years. In around 1950 we reached a level of atmospheric CO2 that hasn't been seen since before humans walked the planet. Since then, we've added an extra 24% to that mark. A 24% jump usually takes about 25-60 thousand years to happen naturally, we did it in 68 years. This is causing a chain reaction of global events. One of those chain reactions bring drier weather, droughts in woodland areas, less cloud cover, and longer/stronger fire seasons. Trees create more low clouds and low clouds help keep the planet cooler as it reflects energy from the sun, while higher clouds increase the heat. Trees are also are our natural line of defense against CO2 buildup and we keep losing more and more trees. Join us in our fight to improve the living quality of our planet. This is the most luxurious Vanda deck series to date. The seventh deck of this series is Uranus, featuring skybound creatures with winglike feathered gills on the sides of their heads.

Uranus is the god of the sky and thus tied to the constellations formed by stars and the signs of the zodiac. Each of the 12 court cards include a zodiac sign incorporated into their clothes. Suit assignments for each sign follow the traditional Tarot associations.

The sixth deck of this series is Saturn. This is the most luxurious Vanda deck series to date, with tuckbox features that include gold holographic foil, white foil, interior foiling, and embossing.

Saturn is considered to rule Capricorn, which is symbolized by the goat, hence the goat-like beings represented in the Saturn court cards. The Jacks allude to Saturn, and its Greek counterpart Cronus, being associated with the passing of time and relevance to the harvest seasons. Notice that the hats worn by the Jacks are shaped like the planet itself. Look closely and you'll find other symbolism woven into the illustrations of the courts.

From the artist: "Jupiter was named after god of the sky and thunder and king of the gods in Ancient Roman religion and mythology. The Romans regarded Jupiter as the equivalent of Greek Zeus.

"So, I want this creature to be strong and powerful. There's a story in Greek mythology when Zeus metamorphosed into a beautiful white bull. I took this as an inspiration. But I didn't want just to draw an ordinary bull, more like a creature that resembles a bull. The crown is big and beautiful, because Jupiter is king of the gods. Now, the one eye. On the actual planet, the Jupiter's great red eye (or the red spot) was my inspiration. So, just like the planet has one big eye, so do the creatures living in it. I think it's nice symbolism."

The Planets is a collection of decks representing the planets in our solar system, starting closest to the sun and moving outwards into the surrounding universe. The first deck of this series is Mercury, featuring creatures with stone-like heat-resistant skin.

The tuckboxes are printed by Clove St. Press, producers of gorgeous letterpress printing. The decks will be printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPC), makers of Bicycle & Bee brand decks and supplier to casinos around the world.

Tucks: 2 foils, embossing, interior foil, black/blue paper stocks

Cards: USPC Bicycle stock, Embossed finish

The Pluto mini deck will be printed by MPC and will include their very cool holographic printing effect on the card fronts. The tuckboxes will be printed by Gamblers Warehouse and will match the other planet LE decks—blue paper boxes with gold and silver holographic foils on the exterior + silver holographic foiling on the interior. They will be sealed with a numbered metallic sticker.

Also, every Pluto deck will include a Carat mini display case, made of 5mm acrylic with a front panel that's held in place with magnets. These mini cases were custom-designed specifically for the Pluto deck!

These decks will be limited but we will produce enough decks to cover orders placed through Kickstarter and BackerKit.
