The concept of this card deck was from a documentary that I watched on Youtube which covers a subject on deep sea. In this Documentary, deep sea was compared to deep space because they are surprisingly similar and this fact leads me to imagine the marine animals in space. I tried to create a background that sea and space coexists in mysterious atmosphere. I spent days agonizing over how to organize all these as one design and finally I came up with a rising castle on a whale’s back.

The most limited deck ever released by Theory11, with less than 1 gross being sold. This deck is not an officially released print run but rather the result of a mistake in printing. During the implementation of metallic gold to the deck the execution of printing was not up to standard and the full run was trashed - with the exception of a gross. This deck should be considered an "error" deck rather than a full public release deck. The Tragic Royalty deck features black and dark red Rider backs with grey borders and faces. They are fluorescent under black light (UV-light). All of the pips have small swirls in the corners, and the court cards have different background colours; one side has a black background with a grey or white pip (grey for normally black pips and white for normally red pips), the other side has a grey background with a black or red pip. All the faces of the court cards are custom, each with a different whimsical and ghoulish face. Comes with 2 Jokers (one of which has a guarantee print) and a custom Ace of Spades.
