This year the Magna Carta turned 800 years old. Initially ambiguous in its future, this document has transformed over time into an icon that has rippled throughout world history with positive change. To me, the Magna Carta is one of the most inspiring examples of timelessness. Today the Magna Carta is the foundation of liberty and human rights in many parts of the world. This deck series was created to honor and celebrate this landmark occasion. 

This series is split up into two factions. Royals vs. Rebels. The Royals deck commands attention in rich black, representing the King and his empire. The sleek back design features the gorgeous crowned lion in which 3 heads represent the 3 lion crest of the Angevin Empire. As a way to pay tribute to this event, you can now recreate it with the world's first hexapytch deck series. Often times the sides of a tuck case are wasted away with filler text, being an underutilized area for artwork. Inspired by old book collections which featured beautiful murals across their spines, I've illustrated this famous event based on the iconic image of the signing. Utilizing 2 decks of the Royals as the center with a Rebels deck on either end creates the basic image, adding a King John deck (Gold or Silver) on the very ends completes the full image.

For collectors I've crafted a special King John deck representing the origin of the Magna Carta. This deck is crucial in helping tell the story of the abuse in taxation which spurred the eventual rebellion. The deck represents the motivations of the Magna Carta, featuring King John tuck case but with the Rebel Baron's gold in hand representing the taxation crisis.

The Verana Deck represents Summer in the beautiful 4-deck Seasons series. The back displays a gorgeous illustration of in full bloom accented with metallic ink. The summer collection displays elegance with gold foiling and embossing throughout the tuck box. The cards are produced by The United States Playing Card Company to ensure the quality and craftsmanship that playing card collector's have come to expect.

My project is about storytelling - it's about Alice's continued adventures in Wonderland to be precise. Fairy tales make for a great entertaining medium, and growing up I was fascinated by them. I want to take that same love and passion we all reminisce about and put them into a deck of playing cards - the cards that come from my vision of Wonderland. Inspired by Lewis Carroll's (Charles Dodgson) original Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, I wanted to take this classic story further, by continuing Alice's Adventures as a young lady who earns the title - "Alice of Wonderland". My deck of playing cards, as well as my main story, has a Steampunk Wonderland theme. I am keeping the traditional de la Rue design style by only illustrating the face cards and keeping the numbered cards basic, but with a hint of Wonderland.

Why Steampunk in Wonderland? The original Wonderland story was written and set in the late 1800's Victorian era. The genre of Steampunk derives from that same era so it ties in nicely with the Wonderland theme. However, my deck of Wonderland playing cards is part of a larger picture, one that tells the story of the continuing adventures of Alice. In this more mature setting, Alice is now a young lady and the world she remembers from Wonderland has changed, everything is now Steampunk - but still Wonderland. The 4 main kingdoms of Hearts, Clubs, Spades, and Diamonds, rule Wonderland. I am including Alice, the Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and the White Rabbit as the Joker playing cards illustrated in full pose and in the same black and white line art as the royal face cards.

Conceived by the talented card flourisher Patrick Varnavas and illustrated by Stuart Palm, we are very excited to introduce SOUNDBOARDS. Designed to emulate a cassette box case, we engineered a flexible synthetic tuck box with a sturdy plastic window to hold each deck of Soundboards.

Featuring our classic faces and a custom ace / joker by Stuart Palme. We are proud to have Stuart as one of our in-house designers, which we can team you up with for custom design work and illustration.

Soundboards Playing Cards were first created by Patrick Varnavas in 2014 and then released in 2015. That first edition was printed in blue and shortly after a red version was teased but never ended up becoming a reality. Now, for the first time since their original 2015 release, new Soundboards are being printed through collaboration between Patrick Varnavas and Riffle Shuffle. It is an honor to introduce the newest edition of Soundboards to the world after nearly 4 years of waiting.

The Soundboards deck was created to celebrate vintage audio gear like 80s cassette players and gramophones. The back design incorporates major pieces of audio equipment from different eras into one harmonious setup. The design is detailed and easy to stare, finding a balance between simplicity and complexity. The deck’s traditionally reversible and intricate back design, illustrated by Stuart Palm, has held up over the years and has been left largely unchanged in this red edition with the exception of a few small details.

This time the cards are coming from USPCC on their Crushed Premium stock, a welcome change for all card handlers. Limited Edition of 2500 Decks. Every detail from the original Soundboard’s memorable box has been faithfully recreated in this new red edition featuring added structural improvements to enhance the box’s functionality. The United States Playing Card Company is proud to share this piece of our history with playing card enthusiasts and fans. Limited to only 72 sets, we are pleased to present an exclusive Nightmare Before Christmas Edition of Fulton's October playing cards. First released back in 2013 and then again in 2014. Fulton's October playing cards return in an all-new way. Designed by Brad Fulton with original illustrations by Steven Noble.

The Sisterhood of Blood is a custom designed deck of poker sized playing cards, printed by The Expert Playing Card Company (EPCC). The theme of this deck is based on London vampires from the Victorian era. As with my previous project, The Coven, this deck also features an all female cast of court cards. Each of them have a different story to tell, but together they become The Sisterhood of Blood. Features of the deck include: 12 custom all female court cards All of the vampires are named and all have backstories 4 custom designed Aces 2 facing Jokers with the Raven created out of blood 1 double backer Custom Tuck-box with printing on the inside Custom seal (to be voted for by the backers) Printed by EPCC on their classic finish stock (same as The Coven) The Faces: Each of the vampires have names and backstories that help to bring these beautiful monsters alive. Along side this, each of the groups follow a theme, the Jacks have just fed, the Queens revel in their malice and the Kings immortality is coming to a close. The Aces are all larger and custom designed. The tweaked pips follow a standard position but are slightly smaller and the layout is condensed compared to a standard deck of cards. Even though this is a custom deck I have tried to maintain all the standard features of a normal deck of cards, as I want this deck to be usable and easy to read. These features also include the hidden ones such as the one eyed Jacks and the suicide King.

Under the eyes of the Gods, he will meet men, women, prophets, monsters, witches, nymphs and cyclopes. Some will help, some will hinder. His journey will be mythical. Odissea is a new series of playing cards by Thirdway Industries, designed by the Italian designer Giovanni Meroni, inspired by Homer’s Odyssey. There are three decks in the Odissea series: Odissea Minerva, Odissea Neptune, and Odissea Mythica Limited Edition. Everything will be completely different for each deck. Tuck boxes, back and cards. Minerva is the first Odissea deck. It’s dedicated to all the characters who helped Ulysses in his Odyssey. Odissea Neptune is the second Odissea deck. It’s dedicated to the enemies of Ulysses.
