At over 29,000 feet above sea level, Everest was originally known as PEAK 15, the hardest and most treacherous climb the world has ever known. Not everyone who attempts Everest lives to tell the tale but those who do - descend as legends. Part of an exclusive club, who's entry is out-of-reach for most of us. Peak 15 Playing Cards pay homage to this icon. Printed on our famous E7 Luxury-pressed stock and featuring full pip-to-pip customization, the Peak 15 deck is for the nomads, adventurers and lovers of the outdoors. For thousands of years humanity has stared up at the night skies with amazement and wonder. The natural rhythms of the stars, planets, and the sun and moon took on more significance than just their clock-like movement across our skies. Early stargazers divided the night sky into 12 equal partitions or ‘signs’ —each with corresponding constellations which are the basis of what we know as the Zodiac. These zones of the night sky fall along what's called the planetary ecliptic - the plane of the planets in our solar system - hence the name of this project. I've always loved looking up at the night sky and seeing how the planets cut a line straight across the heavens. Over the centuries, the Zodiac signs and constellations were represented by symbols and incredible artwork—engravings of fantastical creatures and mystical gods from mythology. This project is inspired by that rich tradition. For the past year, I've been pouring myself heart and soul into the art for this project. The idea that I could reimagine the way constellations have traditionally been represented was too tempting a thought to resist! Each of the cards is a new spin on the signs of the Zodiac—blending tradition with my own interpretation. It's with great pleasure that I'm bringing you these cards! There are two editions of Ecliptic Playing Cards—the Standard Edition (SE) and the Limited Edition (LE). Both decks share the same art and linework. The Standard Edition has a nebula background that is a continuous, painted nebula image on the uncut sheet (see add-ons below). The Limited Edition is a celestial blue and will be a hand numbered edition.

In the early 1500s Leonardo Da Vinci illustrated "La Divina" (The Divine Proportion) a book written by mathematician Luca Pacioli that described a mathematical theory called "The Golden Ratio" which was used in Renaissance paintings and sculptures to achieve balance and beauty. Da Vinci later called this Section Aurea or the Golden Section. The gold foil and swirl designs on the tuck bring the Golden ratio to life in this unique deck of cards. Aureo deck features unique designs inspired by the art of the Renaissance and the Golden Ratio.

Aurora" is Dawn....in Latin, that's where this idea came from. The Gold color (courts) representing sunrise...and Silver (numbers) representing sunset (nightfall). The center of the back of the card is the Sun.

In August 2013, we began a quest to create playing cards fit for display at the legendary Waldorf Astoria, the gathering place for royalty and the ultra-wealthy. For the past 14 years, Cohen has performed Chamber Magic there, in a private Waldorf Towers suite, for sold-out audiences including Warren Buffett, David Rockefeller, and the Queen of Morocco. In 2012, Cohen became the first magician in a half-century to sell out Carnegie Hall.

Available in Crimson Red and Ming Blue, the cards are produced in the USA using FSC-certified papers derived from sustainable forests, vegetable-based inks, and starch-based laminates.
