The Limited Edition Turning Japanese Playing Cards contains 60 premium casino-quality playing cards featuring illustrations inspired by Japanese art and culture, including an ancient legend about a group of koi fish swimming upstream... The ancient legend goes on to say that through determination and perseverance, a single koi fish from the group was able to swim upstream to reach the top of a waterfall against all odds, overcoming demons that laughed and mocked at the koi's efforts, and who had also heightened the waterfall out of malice. After reaching the top of the waterfall, the gods, who had witnessed the koi's efforts, turned the koi fish into a golden dragon, the image of power and strength. This deck draws its inspiration from this legend and from illustrator Marine Loup and her Turning Japanese art collection. It is designed to inspire and encourage people to never give up on their goals in life. It also demonstrates that through perseverance and determination, anything is possible. Deck Specifications: Each deck contains a complete set of 52 playing cards plus 2 Jokers, 1 double backer card, and 4 signature illustration cards (from world famous artist Marine Loup's Turning Japanese art collection). The Turning Japanese Playing Cards was a limited print run of just 1000 decks, with one random deck containing a gold gilded edge legend of the koi card with golden highlights. Card backings for this deck have been designed to create a Japanese fan from flowers being held inside a dragon's mouth when you fan the cards from left to right. Drawing her inspiration from the traditional cards iconography, Malika decided to bring her unique graphic sensibilty, bold colour palettes and elegant design approach to this precious set. This unique deck of playing cards, printed on a beautifully textured paper and enclosed in a luxurious gold foiled and embossed box is edited in collaboration with Grimaud, the iconic playing card manufacturer, turning this unique limited edition deck into a collectable object.

Like the previous decks in the Nouveau Series, Gemmes is inspired in the historical and mythological characters some believe were used for the creation of the first decks in Rouen during the 16th century. As for the art style, it was inspired by Art Nouveau jewelry. Art Nouveau is a style of decorative art, architecture and design promoted and popularized in Paris in the late 19th century and characterized by intricate linear designs and flowing curves based on natural forms.

The pips and number cards keep the intricate design from previous editions, with the only exception of the index pips, which take a much simpler form in order to make the cards playable.

The Clockwork Ink deck features black and white pen & ink clockwork illustrations from the book How To Draw & Paint Fantastical Clockwork.

RAVN is back, in purple! A custom-designed deck of poker size playing cards designed by Stockholm17 for Caroline Ravn magician. They teamed up to deliver an elegant and classic looking deck of playing cards, with improved courts and standard faces. Perfect to perform magic tricks, cardistry, and of course to play at the green table.

The deck is printed by Cartamundi on a special paper stock with specific 9C² varnish designed for better handling and durability.

In 2016 Cartamundi manufactured a special deck that was presented at the Cardistry-Con, in Berlin. They focused on the paper and the varnish, not just the graphics. Cartamundi is providing this amazing paper stock and finish that is smooth and durable, specifically designed for cardists.

This deck features 56 cards:

• Cards where printed on Cambric 310gr Black Core paper with 9C² varnish.
• 52 standard faces with improved courts (JQK) and custom Ace of Spades.
• 2 custom jokers similar to the first version of Ravn, but with a twist.
• gaff card: duplicate card (7 of diamonds)
• gaff card: double backer
• The back-side design is the same as the previous version, but in purple.
• The look of the 12 court cards have been improved. The faces of the Jacks, Queens and Kings where improved, and their hands have been redrawn as well.

The design of the tuck-box is the same, so it matches the first version. Cartamundi provided Star-Dream Opal 285gr paper, and it has the embossed graphics.

Funded as a Kickstarter project on December 1, 2014 with $11,686 pledged from 346 backers, this was a 2 deck project consisting of the standard Delirium (Prism) deck and a Signature Edition, plus uncut format.  Designed by Giovanni Meroni through his Thirdway Industries, this deck features a fun cartoonish look of with intricate and modern style, strongly inspired by the classic french playing cards, but with crazy twists.  The deck was printed by Expert Playing Card Co. using their Master Finish.
