ABOUT THIS DECK
Alf Cooke produced a number of different "De Luxe" brands, including a gold edge version. These packs here come from the Pictorial range, which had no gold edge, but various back designs. 2 coloured jokers were included. The cards front used a four colour process. In the gallery, the piper back and box front are from around 1955. The main cover front to this page, inform the buyer there the deck, "contains two jokers" to capitalise on the growing popularity of the game Canasta.
