In the enchanted lands where elves roam the forests and pirates sail the treacherous seas, there exists another force - mystical, powerful, and divided between light and darkness. Witches have long played an important part, weaving spells, performing rituals, and shaping the very fabric of reality. This project gives you a chance to hold their power in your hands.
This deck celebrates a new form of magical storytelling, and every court card is represented by a woman. Devoted to the four elements and dwelling in hidden corners of the world, they were cast aside by the grand Orders of Wizards and High Sorcery, and formed their own conclaves, practising the craft in secretive ways. A unique group of charismatic women has come together, united by their love for the art of witchcraft. Whether called upon to heal a wound, protect a ship, or curse an enemy, their intentions are as fluid as magic itself.
We invite you to experience magic, as you embark on a journey into the heart of it. Witches are not just spellcasters; they are rulers, protectors, wanderers, and agents of change. Every detail in this deck has been meticulously crafted, hand-drawn, and refined to offer a breathtaking experience for both collectors and players alike, featuring amazing colouring and beautiful creatures.
The Bewitching World of FRIS Witches:
- Courts: Feature top and bottom design, with subtle differences. One side represents the day, and the other is the night, where magic is revealed, with glowing familiars and the Courts show their true power. Each suit represents one of the four elements, and the witches are accompanied by their animal companions.
- Aces: Each of them is a living embodiment of elemental magic: mythic, untamable, and revered. They are powerful animals tied to the elemental forces of the world.
- Numbers: An innovative pip alignment and to embellish the deck with refine arcane details, yet keeping the cards very readable when playing.
- Jokers: They are goddesses, enigmatic fortune tellers revered across the realm by the witches who walk between shadow and starlight.
Playing cards are printed with KingStar on German Black Core Stock with Linen Finish - Artworks are finished with gold foil on both sides. Tuck boxes are crafted by Boshiero & Newton with premium European papers and hot foils.
Witches Standard
The Standard Edition features turquoise, aquamarine, and indigo color scheme. The cards are standard all the way, except with the gold foil for the details. 1000 decks made.
