A Marked Rider Back, featuring a unique and subtle marking system in collaboration with Ondrej Psenicka. Only 300 were made.

This is a fully marked deck of Bicycle Rider Back Playing Cards produced in collaboration with Bicycle Cards and the United States Playing Card Company. It is the first marked deck of Rider Backs in ten years. We’re incredibly proud of this collaboration!

This special edition has a blue seal with “Framed by Butterfly Playing Cards” written on it.

The Butterfly x Bicycle Marked Rider Back Playing Cards feature a marking system derived from the Butterfly marking system. It has been adapted to work with the bordered design. Each deck has a card leading you to the marking system instructions.

We printed these on crushed Premium stock with a traditional cut for the highest quality possible. They feel amazing, spread like softened butter, and faro effortlessly straight out of the box. As we wanted to make these a worker deck, each deck has a double backer.

Marked Bicycle Rider Back Playing Cards are back with the second edition! This is the Blue version.

These are the first fully marked Bicycle Rider Backs produced in ten years. The United States Playing Card Company (USPC) doesn’t allow any changes to the trademarked Rider Back design. However, Ondrej Psenicka found a way to mark these without breaking the trademark.

We produced the first edition in collaboration with Bicycle Cards and the USPC for their inaugural Cardtopia convention in November 2023. A limited number of decks were released during Black Friday 2023 and then on Valentine’s Day 2024. They sold out quickly, so we’re bringing them back with the second edition!

At first glance, these look like standard Bicycle playing cards. Upon closer inspection, you’ll discover an easy-to-read marking system in all four corners and a deceptive one-way back design. The marking system is derived from the iconic Butterfly Playing Cards marking system.

We include written instructions with every deck. They come in five languages: English, German, French, Spanish, and Czech.

We designed the tuck box to be as similar to the standard Rider Backs as possible. It comes with a black USPC seal, and the deck’s back design shows on the back of the box (in its marked version). This is to make them blend well with other Rider Back decks you might be using.

The faces use a standard USPC design with one slight change. They are also one-way. This feature has many uses for magic, like the one-way back design.

Each deck includes two identical black and white Bicycle Jokers, a double-backer, and an extra Queen of Hearts with a Five of Spades reveal.

The second edition Marked Bicycle Rider Backs are printed on crushed Retail stock and have a modern cut. They feel broken in and faro shuffle smoothly straight out of the box.

This is a great milestone in the world of marked playing cards. We have managed to mark the iconic Bicycle Rider Backs on their edges. They now possess the same powers as our Butterfly Playing Cards, while maintaining a familiar look.

What can you do with these?

• Cut to any card from a shuffled deck.
• Easily find a selected card after it’s been selected and returned to the deck while you were turned away.
• Stack a Royal Flush or all four Aces in just a few shuffles, without challenging memory or technical work.
• And much more!

This is the second deck of Marked Rider Backs we have produced in collaboration with the United States Playing Card Company. It keeps the marking system from the first edition and adds a new edge marking system.

We hid the markings in an apparently random pattern, which gives the cards an old and worn look. That’s where the name Vintage Back comes from. It also resembles cotton paper used for banknotes or marble.
