Messymod, short for Messy Modernism, is a minimal approach to graphic-design conceived by Los Angeles based creative team, TRÜF. Born from their love of geometry, pattern, white space, Bauhaus, Miró and perhaps a little too much caffeine.

After being introduced to their work earlier this year we knew right away we had to collaborate on a deck. Seven months later and we couldn't be more happy with the outcome.

The playing cards feature a completely custom design in typical Messymod fashion which can be described as minimal, modern, graphic, quirky, stylized, grotesque, delightful and just plain weird.

Packaged in a premium letterpress-printed tuck box both inside and out. Printed by the U.S. Playing Card Co. on our trademark thin stock preferred by cardists.

Based on vintage Las Vegas casino playing cards, Cherry Casino Playing Cards pay homage to the classics of Sin City. Like Jerry’s Nuggets or Wynns, the Cherries back design is a simple, symmetrical back, perfect for card games and magic performances alike. Version 2 has Ellusionist phoenix logo on bottom of tuck w/barcode to the right of it. Right side of the tuck has "THE UNITED STATES PLAYING CARD COMPANY" and the left side has "PERFORMANCE COATING MADE IN U.S.A." Top of tuck has "POKER NO Q ❤" printed.

The Honeybee Deck was the first-ever custom deck created by Penguin Magic in 2015. Designed by Randy Butterfield, the original Yellow deck sold out in a mere two days! A few months later we debuted the Black edition deck, which also sold out quickly. Now we are happy to announce Honeybee V2 via this Kickstarter campaign. If you read no further, here is what you need to know: The V2 design is very similar to the original Honeybees, but the card backs are now BORDERED instead of borderless. We are making the V2 Honeybees available in both Yellow and Black during this campaign so that you can choose one, the other, or both. Each of the V2 standard decks has a custom honeycomb back design. Instead of a diamond Bee pattern, the deck features a beautiful honeycomb complete with 2 realistic honeybees walking on the back. You can almost taste the honey as you gaze at the backs!
