This deck was printed by Grimaud from Paris, France, and published by France Cartes. Special re-edition of an antique French deck honoring all kinds of revolutionary historical figures, such as William Tell, Simon Bolivar or George Washington. The ideals of the French revolution are represented on the Queens. No indices or numbers, and square corners. The deck was published with 52 cards and no jokers.

The numbered cards were grey with hand-done suits showing the number in these pictures (for example the two of diamonds shows two hand-done diamonds, and no indices, even for the court cards. The court cards have artwork showing various people, who are listed on the back of the tuck box. The flap tucks into the front of the tuck box rather than the back. The backs are two-way with borders. It is a concentric line-drawing with spears, ribbons, and leaves in brown ink on cream. There are no jokers, but three extra cards with liberty caps for indices. One tells about the original publication of the deck in French, and one in English. The other says, "Services Commerciaux de la Réunion des Museés Nationuax."

We could not determine who compiled the images, nor could we discover it’s exact publication date, but judging from the images shown, it is reasonable to guess that the cards have been published somewhere between 1978-1985. Card size is 6 cm x 11.2 cm (2.4" x 4.4") There is no printer indicated but according to WOPK.com "Éditions Dusserre (now part of Carta Mundi) previously had their cards printed by Maitres Cartiers Boéchat Frères" (https://www.wopc.co.uk/france/boechat-freres/editions-dusserre/). The tuck box does say the product was "Made in France."
