The Nocturnal Deck, by Collectable Playing Cards, is a crisp feature deck that will stand out in any type of collection. The dark, yet vivid, colors stand out amidst a flurry of radical spikes and cracks. A contrast of dark blues and dark reds are combined against a black and silver card. The colors grow from dark to light creating a stunning fan. The backs of the cards feature floating spheres that pop off the card. Grey spikes and cracks surround the background and a red wave spirals into the center of the blue abyss. The face cards are saturated in a blue and red glow. Grotesk Macabre is the evolution of "Grotesque", which was the UC2014 annual deck. Taking this deck as a starting point, I tried to create my own vision of the Underworld. Although a joyful and positive person myself, I had always been attracted to dark themed artwork. I find fascinating how artists throughout the centuries have imagined the world of the dead and how they dealt with the greatest fear of mankind. In Grotesk Macabre I tried to combine the darkest of all themes with the heavy elegance of baroque and the pointy, flamboyant Gothic art.

436 backers pledged $14,760 on April 17, 2015 to fund this Kickstarter project consisting of 2 different tucks with artwork from Nam Tibon as produced by Lux Playing Cards.  Per update from producer, there were 524 decks requested of the King Henry VII tuck, although with overages (which always happens during printing) it was closer to 550, but only the 524 are planned to be released.

Flesh & Bones is a custom, hand illustrated deck of playing cards, designed in London by Dual Originals and produced by DeckStarter. Each card has been rigorously designed to create a unique deck that combines digital precision with illustrative flair. The court cards feature detailed, hand-drawn illustrations based on mythical creatures like the Kraken and a Nymph, and ancient gods, such as Triton and Medusa. Unique steampunk artwork can be found throughout this deck. The court cards and pips are all custom drawn to highlight the gears and steam of the Victorian Era. The original campaign, funded in Kickstarter, was launched and funded in 2015 by the artist Nathanael Mortensen (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1657065264/steampunk-beginnings).
